Mexico Beaches at Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco
In Mexico you will find all types and all sizes of beaches to suit anyone. Among the beautiful beaches to which tourists flock are Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas.
Acapulco
Most people have heard about or know something about this beautiful part of the world even if they have never been there themselves.
If you have ever watched TV shows such as Wild World of Sports on ABC you will have seen this location whenever they showed the diving competitions where men take a flying leap of a few hundred feet into the water between the rocks down below.
But for those of us who aren't quite so brave we can enjoy Acapulco without jumping off cliffs.
Acapulco is definitely a beautiful place with exquisite and visually impacting beaches.
Among tourists it is a very popular destination with the result that you are not likely to find any real and authentic Mexican culture there.
If that is what you are looking for then you would have to take a journey up into the hills.
Failing that you have to expect that what you will find are loads of locals trying to sell you something or otherwise offering just about any service all to win over your tourist dollar.
Although so popular there are other and better places that Mexico has to offer.
Cabo San Lucas
Back in the day Cabo San Lucas was just a quiet and sleepy town on the tip of Baja California.
Even the airport was nothing more than a large cabana! But times change and places change with them.
Whether you like it or not Cabo San Lucas has changed also.
Among all the Mexican beach resorts that the country has to offer, this one is quickly gaining in popularity. The bare mountains are no longer as bare as they used to be.
Now there are beautiful and expensive homes covering the mountains. There are even traffic jams in this once sleepy town.
Even celebrities are buying real estate and setting up business there, such as Rock star, Sammy Hagar, who owns more than one bar. He has even sung songs about Cabo San Lucas.
Of course it is quite understandable why this is fast becoming one of Mexico's top destinations to vacation. Cabo San Lucas is a great place to visit.
With beautiful weather, golden sunshine and loads of different activities, there is plenty for everyone.
Whether you get out on the water for some kayaking, surfing or even deep sea fishing, there is something for everyone.
Although there is no shortage of bars and cafes along the beachfront it is not quite as busy as Acapulco, even though Cabo San Lucas offers superb nightlife for those who wish to end their day of lazing on the beach with some fun and dancing in the restaurants and bars.
If you are heading off to Mexico for a vacation for whatever reason you should seriously consider visiting either the pumping, tourist hotspot of Acapulco, or the beautiful, up and coming Cabo.
